In 1998 I left a small couture house in the 7th arrondissement to bottle the only thing I had ever cared about — beauty as ceremony. Velvet Noir was born in a candlelit atelier on rue de Sèvres, with one rose-gold lipstick, three perfumers, and an unshakeable belief.
Twenty-six years later we still hand-pour every fragrance, hand-press every velvet matte, and refuse to enter a shade we cannot personally wear. Beauty is not what you put on. It is what you become.
